Sweet Sixteen

[Verse 1]

As I am growing older with time

I don’t understand what’s really mine

The friends who I thought would stay true

Or the guy who said “I love you”

Because suddenly everyone is acting strange

Or maybe its just me who isn’t at the right place

[Chorus]

What’s so sweet about turning sixteen?

For me its nothing but broken dreams

Broken friendship, broken trust

Broken love, broken heart

I wish I hadn’t turned sixteen

I wouldn’t have said the things I didn’t mean

No control on my hormones

I shouldn’t have run on my adreline

[Verse 2]

As I am growing older with time

I’m only learning to be unkind

I’ve hurt the people who were always there

Being rebellious and self righteous, I forgot to care

Developed some kind of ‘WHATEVER’ attitude

And now I’ve ended up forever in solitude

 [Chorus]

What’s so sweet about turning sixteen?

For me its nothing but broken dreams

Broken friendship, broken trust

Broken love, broken heart

I wish I hadn’t turned sixteen

I wouldn’t have said the things I didn’t mean

No control on my hormones

I shouldn’t have run on my adreline

[Bridge]

I’m going on and on and on

Don’t know where I belong

When everything is going wrong

It’s just so hard to stay strong

I can barely feel the ground

And I’m screaming out aloud

But I don’t see anyone around

To catch me as I’m falling down

[Chorus]

What’s so sweet about turning sixteen?

For me its nothing but broken dreams

Broken friendship, broken trust

Broken love, broken heart

I wish I hadn’t turned sixteen

I wouldn’t have said the things I didn’t mean

No control on my hormones

I shouldn’t have run on my adreline
