Tear drops from my eyes fell without a warning

I felt something beating fast in my chest

Was it my heart putting me through another test?

He tried to call me, it didn’t connect

Why did he call me? It wasn’t correct

He didn’t stop me when I was leaving

Now it’s too late, I stopped believing

He had his chance, he made his choice

And I can’t seem to forgive him thrice

I tell myself that now he has gone

As I calm myself when I’m all alone

But the truth is that he wasn’t really there

And I tell myself I shouldn’t really care
